Nature of services

Berrizal Partners provides advisory and implementation support services related to captive insurance and risk financing. We may support feasibility, structuring, formation coordination, programme design, governance, and optimisation.

Where activities require regulated parties (e.g., insurance brokerage, captive management, legal or tax advice), we work alongside your appointed providers and clearly define responsibilities.

No legal or tax advice

Unless explicitly agreed in writing and delivered by appropriately qualified professionals, Berrizal Partners does not provide legal or tax advice. We may identify issues and coordinate with your legal and tax advisors.

No insurance brokerage

Berrizal Partners is not an insurance broker and does not place insurance or reinsurance unless explicitly agreed and permitted under applicable regulation. We can support your team in structuring programmes and engaging the market through your broker and/or fronting partners.

Engagement terms

All engagements are governed by a written engagement letter specifying scope, deliverables, timeline, fees, confidentiality, and any third-party reliance. No work begins without mutual written agreement.

Limitation of liability

Any limitation of liability is defined in the engagement letter. Unless otherwise agreed, our liability is limited to the fees paid for the relevant engagement.

Decisions remain the responsibility of the client, including board approvals, regulatory submissions, and commercial placements.

Conflicts of interest

We disclose any potential conflicts at the outset of an engagement. Where we work alongside brokers, captive managers, fronting carriers, auditors, or counsel, scopes and incentives are made explicit in writing.

Intellectual property

Client-specific deliverables created under an engagement are provided for the client’s internal use, subject to the engagement letter. Our underlying methodologies, templates, frameworks, and tools remain proprietary.

Governing law

Governing law and jurisdiction are specified in the engagement letter.
